The shop is at 20 Estates Road in Dartmouth, behind the Dartmouth General Hospital. Seasonal store hours are Monday to Friday 10am to 5pm and Saturday 10am to 2pm.
What we carry
Boats, motors and the eBike Centre
NewStar Marine is powered by the best outboards on the market, offering the full range of Suzuki and Tohatsu brand outboard motors from 2.5HP to 350HP. Boat brands carried include Gala, Grand, MirroCraft, Eduardono and Highfield, with inflatable tender, rigid hull RHIB, aluminum boat and compact pontoon boat packages available.
On land, The eBike Centre is the Halifax, Atlantic and East Coast dealer for LEV (Light Electric Vehicles): electric scooters, eBikes and mobility scooters. The shop is a dealer for Daymak & Emmo Canada and carries GNX & Mobilicab mobility scooters.
Trailer options include the Salter Folding Utility-Trailer and fully assembled galvanized boat trailers. Financing for boat or eScooter packages is available through Walker Financial Service, with loans starting as low as $4,000 and fixed rates from 5.95%.

Trailer kits and boat trailers
The universal folding trailer kit takes up only 24" x 63" of floor space when folded, and unfolds to handle heavy loads of 1000 pounds. Kits come in painted black or galvanized versions, in 4 x 8 and 5 x 8 sizes, and are Transport Canada compliant, with options for boat bunk kits.

NewStar Marine brings together two kinds of freedom under a single roof in Dartmouth, Nova Scotia. On the water, the shop offers boats, motors and trailer packages built to suit a range of budgets and boating styles, from first-time buyers to seasoned skippers. On land, the same team runs The eBike Centre, its rebranded scooter division, where electric bikes and mobility scooters open up a different kind of outdoor travel. It is a pairing that makes sense for a region where the coast is never far away and the roads invite a quiet ride. Whether you arrive thinking about a hull, an outboard or an electric set of wheels, the showroom is organised around helping you find the right fit rather than pushing a single answer.
As an authorized Suzuki and Tohatsu dealer for the province, NewStar Marine gives buyers access to outboard power from modest tiller-friendly units up to larger engines suited to serious offshore work. Outboards are the heart of many packages here, and the staff understand that the right motor depends on the hull, the load and the kind of water you plan to run. Matching power to purpose is part of the conversation, along with the practical details of rigging, controls and prop selection. For anyone weighing a repower or buying a first engine, the dealership approach means factory-backed equipment, proper support and advice grounded in real use on Atlantic waters.
The boat range spans inflatable tenders, rigid hull inflatables, aluminum utility craft and compact pontoon packages, so there is something for nearly every kind of outing. Inflatables and RHIBs suit tender duty, exploring coves and getting to and from a mooring, while aluminum boats appeal to anglers and families who value durability and easy upkeep. Compact pontoons bring a stable, sociable platform for calm-water cruising and gathering with friends. Fibreglass models round out the selection for those who prefer a more traditional ride. Brands represented in the showroom reflect a mix of well-known names and specialist builders, giving shoppers a chance to compare styles side by side before deciding.
Trailers are treated as part of the package rather than an afterthought, because getting a boat to and from the water safely matters as much as the boat itself. Galvanized trailers stand up to coastal conditions, and the team can help match trailer capacity and configuration to the hull it will carry. For many buyers, the appeal of a complete boat, motor and trailer package is simplicity: one conversation, one setup, and a rig that is ready for the launch ramp. Accessories, tie-downs and towing considerations are part of the same discussion, so newcomers leave understanding not just what they bought but how to use it confidently.
The eBike Centre reflects a growing interest in electric mobility for everyday errands, commuting and relaxed weekend rides. Folding models make it easy to store a bike in a small space or carry it along in a vehicle, while utility-oriented designs handle groceries, gear and longer trips. Mobility scooters serve riders who want to stay independent and get around town with less effort. Because the shop also sells boats, the two sides of the business share a practical outlook: dependable equipment, sensible advice and a focus on how people will actually use what they buy. Electric power, on water or on pavement, is a theme that runs through both showrooms.
Service and storage keep customers coming back long after a purchase. Seasonal maintenance, tune-ups and repairs help boats and motors stay reliable through short summers and long winters, and storage options give owners a place to keep their equipment safe when it is not in use. The same care extends to the electric side, where bikes and scooters benefit from checks and adjustments over time. Having sales, service and storage in one location means questions get answered by people who know the machines, and it means a single relationship covers the whole season rather than a scattered set of errands across the region.
For anyone new to boating or to electric riding, the value of a knowledgeable local shop is hard to overstate. Staff can walk through the differences between hull types, explain how motor size relates to performance, and help riders understand range, charging and comfort on an eBike or scooter. Financing conversations, accessory choices and preparation for a first season are all part of the experience. The location in Dartmouth places the showroom within easy reach of the harbour, the lakes and the roads that make both pastimes worthwhile. Visitors are encouraged to stop in, look around and ask questions before committing to anything, because the best purchase is one that fits real life.
